Some things just get better with time.
Like, wine, cheese, and apparently, Ruth’s Chris Steak House. You may remember that the iconic steakhouse previously had a location in Worthington. But it’s been a few years since it closed, and now the steakhouse is back.
Now located in the Short North, Ruth’s Chris Steak House won’t officially open until October 7th. But you know me, I can’t stay away. While I didn’t get to try anything on this particular menu just yet, I can tell you that it feels like it’s going to be incredible.
The vibe inside is luxurious and modern, but it doesn’t feel offputting. The restaurant has a bar area, a dining room, and a separate section exclusively for private dining.
The decor is a mixture of textures and metallics, with art depicting local places adorning the walls and, honestly, some of the best lighting fixtures I’ve ever seen in a restaurant. I know that seems like a weird thing to mention, but just look closely at them. They’re fantastic.
Once the restaurant is open, they’ll be hosting their Monday-Saturday happy hour, Sizzle, Swizzle, Swirl, from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. At the happy hour, you can take advantage of the $9 menu, or grab a draft beer for $5.
Ruth’s Chris Steak House is located at 511 N. High Street, across from the Greater Columbus Convention Center. To take a closer look inside, keep scrolling.
