As Hozier says, take me to church. Especially if that church has recently been remodeled into one of my favorite coffee shops in Columbus.
Stauf’s Coffee Roasters have opened yet another location in our fair city. I know that some of you are probably thinking, how exactly is that newsworthy? Well, let me tell you. This is the most unique coffee shop in the city.
Located at 1334 (not 1335 like Google Maps says) Neil Ave., the building used to be home to the Neil Avenue Presbyterian Church. Stauf’s has taken up residence in the former sanctuary, and they’ve got the vaulted ceilings and stained glass windows to prove it.
The building is owned by Legacy Management Services and it isn’t just home to Stauf’s. The rest of the church has been transformed into apartments.
In addition to the beautiful seating area inside of the coffee shop, there’s also a large patio out front. This place is definitely worth a visit, not only for the coffee but also for the Instagram opportunity. Don’t judge, it’s that awesome. Don’t believe me? Keep scrolling and you’ll see.
