Just because we have to stay at home doesn’t mean that we can’t eat some delicious food.
Sure, we can cook for ourselves, but let’s be honest… who wants to do that all the time? The Governor’s announcement that restaurants and bars had to close isn’t what any of us wanted to hear, but luckily, carry-out and delivery are not only an option, they’re highly encouraged.
Getting through this period of social distancing isn’t going to be easy on anyone, but it’s crucial that we remember to be patrons of our favorite local spots at this time if we’re in a position to do so. They’re going to need our support now more than ever.
Dumplings from Momo Ghar always brighten my day. If you still haven’t tried this gem, now is as good a time as any to change your life for the better. The restaurant will be carry-out only at both their North Market and Saraga locations.
Not only does Smoked on High have delicious bbq, but they’re also fantastic community advocates. In addition to their usual carry-out orders, they’ll also be serving up free kids meals from their Brewery District location for the next three weeks.
The cozy dining room at Bake Me Happy may be closed, but you can still grab delicious treats and coffee to go. They’re currently working on their carry-out/pre-order setup, but in the meantime, you can grab a gift card. Then you’ll be all ready to go when they’re ready.
Treat yourself to something truly special by ordering a burger from Flavor 91. Not only will they have carry-out options, but you can also grab delivery online through Door Dash. Please don’t forget to get the spicy sauce on your burger… you can thank me later!
It’s sushi time, friends. Order some FUSIAN through their app and you can get $1 delivery for the next 30 days, plus free delivery on Fridays. If you’d rather pick up your food yourself, you can do that too, and they even have contact-free pick-up. They have an expanded menu with more signature rolls and bowls, and they’re working on FUSIAN Mealkits and grocery options! You can get more info on their app.
Pierogi Mountain is one of my absolute favorite foods to get delivered anyway, so I fully plan on getting some delivered in the coming weeks. It’s comfort food at its most delicious. Get some doughy, delightful pierogies or treat yourself to an order of chicken paprikash. You can’t make a wrong decision when it comes to ordering here, friends. You can order through UberEats, Postmates, and GrubHub.
The Woodbury has very quickly become one of my favorite restaurants in the whole city. They haven’t been open for very long and if you haven’t had the chance to check them out yet, don’t worry. You can still order delivery and carry-out, and they’re even offering curbside pick up if you’d prefer not to get out of your car!
A warm bowl of ramen can help make any boring day a little brighter. Ampersand is my go-to restaurant when it comes to quenching ramen cravings. All you have to do is call in to place a carry-out order, or hop on GrubHub or UberEats.
Preston’s incredible smash burgers are just a short delivery away during this time of uncertainty. You can order what you’d like through PostMates and it will come straight to your door. So. Yummy.
You can’t have a whole list about carry-out food and not include a classic like Billy Lee’s Chinese Cuisine. Give them a call, order some of your favorite Chinese-American dishes, and then head to the restaurant to pick it up.
