A new restaurant headed to Hilliard finally has a name.
Culinary Collectives, the hospitality group led by restaurateur Derek Bush, has unveiled Medley Kitchen, its first brick-and-mortar restaurant, which is expected to open this fall at the growing TruePointe development.
Rather than centering on a single cuisine, Medley Kitchen will draw inspiration from food traditions around the world. The chef-driven menu will feature shareable small plates inspired by tapas, dim sum and mezze, giving guests the opportunity to mix and match dishes while exploring a variety of global flavors.
According to Bush, the concept grew from the idea that many cultures use the same ingredients and cooking techniques to create completely different dishes.
“When you look across cultures, you’ll find many of the same ingredients, cooking methods and traditions expressed in completely different ways,” Bush said in a statement. “We want guests to learn about other cuisines while teaching us about their own.”
In addition to its food menu, Medley Kitchen will offer handcrafted cocktails alongside a curated selection of wine and beer. The restaurant also plans to highlight and pay tribute to local restaurants that have helped shape Columbus’ dining scene.

The opening adds another dining option to TruePointe, the mixed-use development in Hilliard that continues to grow with new restaurants, retail and entertainment. Medley Kitchen is expected to create more than 50 jobs and will initially serve dinner only.
Construction is currently underway, with the restaurant expected to open later this fall.
