Becoming a plant lady was never in my plans.
To be honest, my first deep dive into houseplant life was not a success. I managed to kill even the most basic of greenery, but I was determined not to give up. I’m fortunate that I live here in Columbus, where there are some magical plant shops that helped me succeed.
I’m not an expert but I have kept some plants alive for an entire year, and that feels like such an accomplishment. Adding houseplants into your home has proven benefits like reducing stress, boosting productivity, and even the potential to increase the quality of the air you breathe.
Here’s where to go around Columbus when you’re looking to liven up your house with some new greenery.

Groovy Plants Ranch isn’t in Columbus, but it’s 100% worth the drive and I couldn’t talk about awesome plant experiences and not mention this gem. The ranch is open daily and if you want to make a whole day out of your visit to Marengo, they’ve got some fantastic suggestions of things to check out in the area after you’ve explored the property.
