A Super Unique Pan Am-Inspired Experience Is Coming To Franklinton

Life should be full of new experiences.

A new, creative experience you don’t want to miss is coming to Franklinton from Gorilla Cinema. The Cincinnati-based company builds concept bars + pop-ups inspired by the magic of film and this particular pop up has a super fun, retro twist.

At the pop-up, guests will be invited to purchase a ticket to a “flight” on one of the famous Pan Am Clippers. Enjoy a stop in the Layover Lounge on your way to Havana, London, Hawaii, the Moon, and even the North Pole.

Pan American Airways was founded in 1927. Throughout decades of service, the airline pushed the limits of air travel, offering unique innovations including the widespread use of jet aircraft, jumbo jets, and computerized reservation systems. And they did it all with remarkable style and poise.

The Pan Am Layover Lounge experience hopes to capture all of the retro magic for one incredible night here on the ground.

When you arrive, you’ll be greeted by a Pan Am stewardess and escorted into the Layover Lounge to sit back and relax. There, you can enjoy cocktails inspired by your exotic destination. The experience is 45-minutes long and accommodates a party of 12 travelers at a time. Two cocktails are included with your ticket and you’ll have a chance to check out rare Pan Am collectibles.

Tickets for the experience start at $25 and proceeds from the pop-up will go to the Homeless Families Foundation, ROYGBIV, and Five Strong Foundation.

Pan Am Layover Lounge will kick off at 401 W Rich St. on December 12 and will remain open through December 23. Guests can choose different locations and times throughout the two weeks and tickets can be purchased here.
