I’m going to be honest with you: I never really cared for Santa Claus.
As a kid, sure, I appreciated the fact that he dropped off all of my favorite things in the middle of the night, but I always felt like he got a lot of credit for something he wasn’t doing by himself.
Think of the elves, working non-stop to build all of our toys. And Mrs. Claus who took care of all of the housework even though Santa only technically worked for one day out of the year!
And we can’t forget the ones who made toy delivery possible in the first place: The Reindeer. They are the true heroes. Without their magical flying abilities, we’d all be opening nothing on Christmas morning!
With these residual childhood feelings haunting me this time of year, you can imagine my excitement when I found out there is an awesome reindeer farm just an hour north of Columbus.
Although the reindeer at Pine Acres Reindeer Farm aren’t known for they’re flying capabilities, they’re just as adorable as you’d imagine.
At the farm, you’ll find Gumdrop, Tinsel, Candy Cane, Velvet, and more waiting to greet you on December 22-23.

This year, visits to the farm are $45.00 per family of four and each additional person is $10.

Each tour will last at least 30 minutes with the reindeer experience and additional activities planned.

The appointments for the farm are filling up quick, so if you’re interested in visiting, you’ll need to schedule soon. You can visit their Facebook and click “Book Now” to schedule yours.
