Lumin Sky Bar Is Now Astra Rooftop In Downtown Columbus

Update (July 8, 2026): Lumin Sky Bar & Kitchen closed in the summer of 2025 and reopened as Astra Rooftop in the same 8th-floor space atop the AC Hotel at 517 Park Street. It’s still run by One Hospitality, the group behind Forno and Standard Hall, and it still has those floor-to-ceiling skyline views, but the menu is now fire-forward: flame-kissed small plates with European and Spanish leanings. For current hours and reservations, head to astracolumbus.com, or see where it lands among the best rooftop bars in Columbus. Our original 2021 visit to Lumin is preserved below.

If you are searching for stunning views of the city and a fantastic cocktail, I’ve got the perfect suggestion.

When Lumin Sky Bar & Kitchen opened in 2021, it was the newest rooftop bar in Columbus, and it was a stunner. The bar sits atop the AC Hotel Downtown at 517 Park Street. The design choices throughout the bar compliment the open, airy nature of the place, with floor to ceiling glass windows letting patrons admire the sweeping views of the Columbus skyline.

On the menu, customers will find a variety of small plates, including empanadas, crispy calamari, charcuterie boards and more. When it comes to cocktails, Lumin Sky Bar isn’t messing around. I tried two different drinks while I was there and while they were both delicious, the “Back to the Fuchsia” was my favorite.

The drink was a cocktail on tap, made with tequila, Ancho Reyes, hibiscus syrup, and lime. It came with salt on the rim like a margarita and it was perfectly refreshing.

Lumin Sky Bar is on the 8th floor of the AC Hotel, which is owned in part by Chris Corso of OneHospitality (formerly Corso Ventures). In addition to the rooftop bar, Corso is also planning four concepts to open next year on the ground floor of the hotel.

“Park Street has always been an important area to me, hosting several previous entertainment venues and the Corso Ventures offices for many years,” Corso said in a press release earlier this month. “It is an ideal location for a world-class brand like an AC Marriott and I couldn’t have selected better partners than Continental and Concord. Whether guests are coming in for business, a sporting event or a concert, it will be the perfect hotel for a one-night stay or a long weekend. We will take this once-dead street and turn it into one of the most exciting areas in the state.”

Back in 2021, Lumin was open from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and until 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. For Astra’s current hours and reservations, head to astracolumbus.com. To see photos from our original visit, keep scrolling.
