The Arena District in Columbus is about to get a little more active.
There’s a new pickleball spot coming to Astor Park, bringing some interactive sports fun to the Arena District.
Pickle Park & Pub, set to occupy 17,250 square feet at Astor Park Office, will offer a fresh mix of sports, recreation, and dining. The space will include five indoor pickleball courts, an outdoor court, and golf simulators. The pub will also feature a full-service bar and a chef-driven kitchen.

Dan DeCarlo, Co-Founder of Pickle Park & Pub, is excited about the concept’s potential. “We’ve been dreaming up a space like this for years,” DeCarlo says. “We wanted to create an amenity that brings people together through movement, competition, food, and fun. This location, with its proximity to the stadium and the energy of the neighborhood, is the perfect place to bring that dream to life.”
Located directly across from Lower.com Field, the venue is positioned to be a popular spot for game days, whether you’re catching a match or grabbing a bite before heading to the stadium.
In addition to the sports offerings, Pickle Park & Pub will include a retail space with pickleball equipment and apparel for beginners and seasoned players. The membership-based experience will allow guests to reserve courts, book lessons, and connect with others through the app.

Joel Pizzuti, President and CEO of The Pizzuti Companies, sees Pickle Park & Pub as a natural addition to the Astor Park development. “Pickle Park & Pub is the perfect complement to our vision,” Pizzuti says.
“It’s an innovative, community-focused concept that will serve as a focal point for those visiting, working, and living in Astor Park and the downtown area.”
The construction of Pickle Park & Pub is expected to be completed by early 2026. For more info about the new spot, head over to pickleparkandpub.com.
