This Iconic Aviation-Themed Restaurant Will Close In June

It’s time to say goodbye to a classic.

The 94th Aero Squadron Restaurant will be closed for good this June. The restaurant announced the upcoming closure in a social media post last week. Known for its aviation and military memorabilia, the 94th Aero Squadron first opened decades ago.

Back in December, the restaurant closed temporarily after a winter weather storm caused a pipe to burst. While they will reopen on January 27, the reopening will only be temporary.

“It is with a great deal of emotion that we announce that the 94th Aero Squadron Restaurant will be permanently closing on Sunday, June 18th, at 4 p.m.,” the restaurant said on Instagram. “Our lease is ending at that time and we have decided to explore other opportunities.”

The restaurant will still be open for dinner Wednesday-Saturday for dinner and Sunday for brunch. Additionally, they will host a belated NYE Friday Night Dance Party on Friday, January 27th.

“Please know this decision came with a great deal of thought (and tears),” the restaurant went on to say. “We have loved our time at the 94th Aero Squadron and so appreciate each and every customer and staff member that we have had the privilege of knowing over the past 30 years.”
