Columbus knows how to make good food, and we’re not the only ones who think so.
Columbus born Food Network star Guy Fieri has eaten his way through our fair city several times. His show, Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives (DDD), features different local restaurants that are cooking up specialty dishes in cities across the country.
Fieri first appeared on our television screens back in 2006 when he was a contestant on The Next Food Network Star. He may have come in second, but I think we can all agree that he certainly became a star.
There are six restaurants here in Columbus that have hosted Fieri in the past couple of years, a very respectable total given all the Ohio DDD locations which have been highlighted over the years.
Local Columbus restaurants have appeared in the following episodes (so far):
- Season 27, Episode 8 “Sammies and Spice“
- Season 27, Episode 9 “College-Town Champs“
- Season 27, Episode 10 “Breakfast, Brisket and Belly“
- Season 28, Episode 1 “Mom’s Kitchen“
- Season 28, Episode 2 “Delicious Discoveries“
Here’s where you need to go if you’re hoping to retrace his steps through Flavortown.
Loops

Loops is a restaurant that finds perfect harmony while balancing their Greek and Chicago roots. From gyros to hot dogs, they’ve got it all.
Pierogi Mountain

Pierogi Mountain is all about unpretentious comfort food.
If you’ve never had a pierogi, it’s basically a dumpling and is traditionally filled with potatoes.
Pierogi Mountain sells a variety of Polish-inspired cuisine.
Recommended: We tried Guy Fieri’s new Columbus Flavortown kitchen
Ena’s Caribbean Kitchen
Address: 2444 Cleveland Ave, Columbus, OH 43211
Episode: Season 28, Episode 1, “Mom’s Kitchen”
Ena’s Caribbean Kitchen serves up flavorful, Jamaican food every day.
The episode they were featured on, “Mom’s Kitchen” is very fitting for this family-owned restaurant.
Ray Ray’s Hog Pit
Address: 5755 Maxtown Rd, Westerville Ohio 43082, plus various food truck locations
Episode: Season 27, Episode 9, “College-town Champs”
Not only did Guy Fieri recently name Ray Ray’s Hog Pit to his “Best BBQ on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives” list, but Food & Wine also recently included Ray Ray’s in their list of the Best BBQ In Every State. Those are some pretty remarkable recommendations if you ask me.
Momo Ghar
Address: 59 Spruce St. (inside North Market)
Episode: Season 28, Episode 2, “Delicious Discoveries”
If you haven’t eaten at Momo Ghar yet, I can promise that it will in fact be a delicious discovery.
The restaurant serves traditional cuisine from Nepal and Tibet and the combination of authenticity and flavor will definitely leave you wanting more.
