There’s something to be said to collecting experiences instead of souvenirs.
If you and your friends are anything like mine, getting together isn’t always easy. And when you do miraculously find the time to gather a handful of busy, working adults, you want it to be for something fun and engaging. That’s where The Kitchen comes in.
Located in German Village, The Kitchen is so much more than a venue. Sure, you can get married there (in fact it’s a gorgeous place for your nuptials) but they also offer programming throughout the year that’s specifically geared toward gathering with people you care about for a night of fun.
“Until further notice, celebrate everything” are words to live by at The Kitchen. You don’t need a societal reason to get together – gathering with good friends to share a good meal is reason enough to celebrate.
Here are 8 ways you can celebrate life at The Kitchen.
Participatory Dining Experience
Want to test your kitchen skills with a group of friends? Skip the dishes and head to The Kitchen for Participatory Dining. I know that sounds intimidating, but it’s so not. You will be able to get in on the action and see exactly what goes into crafting incredible meals, all while catching up with your squad.
Taco Tuesday
Every Tuesday from 5 to 9 p.m. The Kitchen opens its doors to the public for a-la-carte dining while raising money for local partners. Themes and menus change weekly, so be sure to check out the events calendar for the latest information.
Celebration Packages at The Studio
Ready to get your party on? How does all of the fun and none of the planning sound? At The Studio, located next door to The Kitchen, you can host an intimate celebration in a modern and elegant environment. Prices range from $35-$55 per person. All you have to do is choose your favorite date and package. Having a great time has never been so simple.
Behind the Bar at The Studio
I’m a sucker for a good wine tasting, and I know some of you are as well. At The Studio, you can attend Behind the Bar, where you’ll taste through five wines with a level 2 sommelier. Each wine is paired with small bites, and as the evening progresses, you’ll learn all about the wines your tasting and get the chance to ask your burning wine questions to a real expert. Plus, it’s incredibly fun.
All Things Wedding
Rehearsal Dinner. Wedding Ceremony. Wedding Reception. Post Wedding Brunch. The Kitchen can accommodate pretty much any wedding related event you can think of. I’ve attended several weddings there myself and they’re always magical and intimate.
Holiday Parties
Tis the season for epic holiday parties. If you’re hosting one, please do yourself a favor and reach out to The Kitchen. They have such a large variety of possibilities for a rockin’ holiday party, including participatory dining options, cocktail hours, 5-course wine/bourbon paired dinners, and even a Holiday Cookie Challenge.
Showers at The Studio
It doesn’t matter if you’re looking for bridal or baby, a shower event at The Studio is the way to go. You can choose between a buffet style or a sit-down meal in the modern studio, plus you can add a Mimosa or Bloody Mary bar. I’m fairly certain that a bridal shower hosted at The Studio would qualify you for Best Bridesmaid Ever.
Flatbread Challenge & Corporate Team Building
Who says team building events can’t actually be fun? The Flatbread Challenge at The Kitchen is a great way to get to know your coworkers while creating. Your group will be divided into smaller teams. Each team will have a set amount of money and must buy ingredients to create their flatbread. After that, you’ll cook it up and the flatbreads will be judged.
If you are looking for more of a corporate retreat, that’s an option as well. Your group can start the day with a breakfast buffet at The Studio before your meeting. Then you can transition into The Kitchen for a sit-down lunch. Light snacks are provided throughout the rest of the day’s meetings, before wrapping up with a participatory dining experience in the evening.
Now that I’ve thoroughly convinced you that The Kitchen is a place you need to experience, you’ll probably want to start making plans. Get all the details about celebrations at The Kitchen here. Go have some fun, Columbus.
