Going fruit picking is a fun activity for date nights, family outings, and adventures with friends alike.
Around Central Ohio, there are some wonderful farms offering u-pick fruits, veggies, flowers, and more. At some of the farms, you’ll find quaint farm stands offering delicious local bites and others have fun seasonal activities like corn mazes and hayrides.
We’ve gathered some of our favorite farms to visit and participate in picking your own goods. Get out there and have some fun, Columbus!
About:The big u-pick events at Circle S Farms are sunflowers and pumpkins. The sunflowers begin blooming in early to mid-July and pumpkin picking opens in October. In addition to picking your own flowers or pumpkin, Circle S Farms also has a bakery, a summer market, and hayrides.

About: Lynd Fruit Farm is one of the most fantastic places to spend an afternoon picking your own goods. They’ve got a variety of berries, apples, and pumpkins, as well as gorgeous fields of sunflowers.

About: Mitchell’s Berries farm has been in the same family for over 200 years, so it’s safe to say that they know what they’re doing. The farm offers u-pick berries in the first half of the summer, followed by flowers in the latter part of the summer.

About: Doran’s Farm Market offers pick your own options on a variety of crops. When they’re in season, you can pick your own strawberries, sugar snap peas, green beans, tomatoes, and pumpkins. The farm frequently updates their Facebook page with which u-pick options are available, so it’s best to visit there before heading out. There are plenty of pre-picked fruits and veggies at the market as well, including some truly delicious sweet corn.

About: There are a variety of crops available for u-pick throughout the summer and fall at Hann’s Farm including strawberries, locally grown veggies, and pumpkins. The farm regularly updates visitors on Facebook about which crops are ready to be picked and when. Additionally, you can give them a call at 614-491-0812 to find out what kind of offerings they have at the farm each day.

About: At Champaign Berry Farm, you can swing by to pick your own delicious raspberries and blackberries. The u-pick time frame is limited so if you want to fill up on berries ($5/lbs) be sure to visit before mid-August 2022.

About: The Blueberry Patch in Mansfield focuses on one yummy berry in particular. They have 27 varieties of blueberries on the farm and they are ripe and ready for the picking from early July-mid August. Additionally, the farm also grows sunflowers.
