Ivan Kane’s Forty Deuce Café And Speakeasy Coming To Easton

Something incredibly cool is coming to Easton later this year.

Nightlife innovator Ivan Kane is debuting his new venture, Ivan Kane’s Forty Deuce, later this year at Easton. The club will be a part of the $500 million expansion announced last year.

Ivan Kane’s clubs are well known for their high profile clientele, celebrity investors, and a focus on the burlesque art form. The new spot will be reflective of Kane’s other Forty Deuce venus in Hollywood and Las Vegas.

As both a Café and hidden Speakeasy, the venue will have its own distinct energy fed by live music and burlesque dancing and performances that aim to introduce a new standard of nightlife entertainment.

“After years of developing concepts on both coasts, I’m proud and excited to be working with the visionary developers behind Easton,” said Kane. “Their forward-thinking and ever-evolving approach to the guest experience checks all the boxes for Ivan Kane Enterprises; i.e. a vibrant, relevant and sophisticated city with a hugely successful business model and diverse demographic. I couldn’t think of a better place to launch our mid-west flagship than at Easton.”

“We’re so excited about revealing everything that’s coming to the Easton expansion area,” said Jennifer Peterson, Chief Executive, Easton “The new entertainment options are incredibly compelling and add an entirely new dimension to the Easton experience. We expect Ivan Kane’s Forty Deuce Café and Speakeasy to be a huge draw from the moment it opens. There’s simply nothing like it in the region.”

Ivan Kane’s Forty Deuce Cafe and Speakeasy features:

The Forty Deuce Café: A 3,500 square foot bistro and bar will be located on the first level. The cafe will be open for lunch, dinner, and late-night dining seven days a week. The decor is whimsical and comfortable, emulating traditional New York east side saloons.

According to the press release, “The space is tight and cozy, with patrons eating at tables or hanging at the bar, watching a game or listening to Sinatra croon on the jukebox or the piano player singing Bowie’s Space Oddity on the beat-up upright in the corner.”

The Forty Deuce Speakeasy: Upstairs, guests will find an intimate, hidden 3,000 square foot space. Guests will wind through the cafe and kitchen before entering the speakeasy through a false walk-in refrigerator door.

From there, they’ll head upstairs into the speakeasy itself. Just before they enter, they’ll pass through a room decorated like an old warehouse of an abandoned theatre. Everything from mannequins to hanging costumes will set the tone.

After passing through a hidden door, they’ll finally be in the speakeasy. The retro club will have DJs spinning so guests can dance. Catwalks will come down from the ceiling creating performance platforms for live entertainment. That’s when the real party starts.

Forty Deuce Cafe and Speakeasy is currently under construction and is expected to open later in 2019. For more updates, check back here.
