This Historical Home Tour Only Happens Every Three Years, And It’s Back This Weekend

If you’re looking for an afternoon of history and beautiful real estate, stop your search.

I’ve got just the thing. The 2019 Tour of Homes will feature six historically-significant homes in Grandview Heights and Marble Cliff. The tour, held every three years by the Grandview Heights/Marble Cliff Historical Society, will kick off on Sunday, October 6.

This year, there will be a VIP Event, including cocktails and brunch at High Bank Distillery and a private showing of the tour of homes an hour before the tour opens to the general public. If you’re purchasing a regular Tour of Homes ticket, you’ll check-in at 1621 W First Avenue in Grandview before heading out on your tour.

The tour features six different homes, including a stately mansion on Roxbury, a cozy bungalow originally designed as a summer cottage, and a traditional, early 20th century home owned by Josiah Livingston.

The total walking distance of the tour is under two miles, but comfortable shoes are still highly recommended. The tour begins at 1 p.m. and concludes at 5 p.m. Tickets are available through Eventbrite.
