There are places you walk into and immediately know someone obsessed over every detail. Pink Pistachio Cafe is exactly that kind of place.
I stopped by shortly after they opened, and I’m not exaggerating when I say the first step inside made me pause. The space is stunning without feeling stiff. Pale pink walls glow against soft pistachio green accents, and everything feels light, airy, and intentional. It’s the kind of place where you glance around and realize every table is full, every corner is buzzing, and somehow it still feels calm and welcoming.

What stood out just as much as the design was the crowd. Women of all ages, all backgrounds, catching up over coffee, celebrating something, or just enjoying a slow morning. It didn’t feel exclusive or curated for a certain type of person. It felt open. Comfortable. Like a space you’d want to return to with friends.
And you will want to come back. Probably sooner than you think.

I had a chance to chat with owner Farrah Ilyas, who owns the cafe alongside her brother Ishrat Ilyas and brother-in-law Qamar Abbas. She told me how much hard work went into getting the vibe right, which makes sense the second you’re inside.

It’s polished but not pretentious, trendy but still warm. That balance is harder to pull off than it looks, and they nailed it. The proof is in how quickly the place has filled up. When I mentioned coming back for brunch, she immediately suggested checking in online ahead of time. They’ve only been open since April 10, and the word is already out.
Let’s talk about the drinks, because I’m still thinking about mine.

I ordered the strawberry matcha, and it was almost too pretty to drink.
Layers of green and pink, perfectly blended, the kind of drink that earns its own camera roll moment. Luckily, it tastes even better than it looks. Smooth, slightly sweet, refreshing, and just different enough to feel special. It’s one of those orders I’ll be recommending to everyone, whether they ask me or not.
If you’re more in the mood to linger, the menu goes well beyond coffee.
Pink Pistachio leans into an all-day brunch experience with dishes like pistachio lattes, knafeh crepes, Nutella French toast, and even heartier options like lamb chops and salmon. Everything is halal and alcohol-free, which adds another thoughtful layer to how inclusive the space feels.

Still, even if you only have time to pop in, the café side makes it easy to grab a drink and pastry to go. No commitment required, although you’ll probably wish you had more time.
Back to the space itself, because it deserves another moment.

There’s a massive cherry blossom tree tucked into a sunlit corner, surrounded by cozy seating that feels made for long conversations. And yes, the entire place is wildly photogenic.

If you’re in the mood for a more dramatic shot, there’s a floral swing installation complete with wings that’s basically waiting for its Instagram close-up.

It would be easy for a place this pretty to feel like it’s all surface. Pink Pistachio doesn’t fall into that trap. Underneath the aesthetic is genuinely good food, thoughtful hospitality, and a clear sense of purpose. Farrah mentioned wanting to bring something fresh to Columbus, something that feels elevated but still welcoming. After one visit, it’s clear she succeeded.
