The Goodyear Blimp Is Available To Rent On Airbnb And It’s Freaking Fantastic

Weird and unusual AirBnBs are a longtime favorite here at Columbus Navigator, and today I bring you what might be the most unusual to date.

The iconic Goodyear Blimp has been providing aerial coverage of football games around the country since 1955. The impact the blimp has had on the game is so profound that it’s being added to the College Football Hall of Fame later this year, the first non-player or coach to ever receive the honor.

The blimp will be headed to Ann Arbor on October 26 to (hopefully) watch that team up north get destroyed by Notre Dame, and you have the chance to be a part of it all.

The Goodyear Blimp is opening up its doors for overnight guests through Airbnb. For $150/night, you can stay in this iconic dirigible and score tickets to the big game.

The interior of the blimp’s gondola has been transformed into a cozy retreat, complete with seating and sleeping areas. Since the blimp won’t actually be taking flight with you on board, the area outside the main cabin offers additional seating, a large television, and everything else you’ll need for an epic pre-game tailgate.

The blimp is housed in a hangar in Mogadore, OH. You can pop outside to enjoy a sunset over Wingfoot Lake, where there is a fire pit and cornhole ready and waiting.

This isn’t a competition. The reservations are first come, first serve, and will be available starting October 15th. Good luck friends. And, if you manage to snag a stay, please tag us on Instagram. We can’t wait to hear all about it.
