If you’re feeling nostalgic for the ‘90s, Easton’s got just the thing to transport you back to the decade of flannel, VHS tapes, and grunge music.
On Saturday, September 28, from 12-6PM, Easton is throwing a ‘90s Vintage Fest, and it’s the ultimate blast from the past. This event will be jam-packed with all things vintage, from music and fashion to local vendors selling retro treasures, making it the perfect day to relive your favorite ‘90s moments.
Head to The Yard at Easton to check out the ‘90s Vintage Fest
Expect to find everything from vintage clothing and vinyl records to old-school accessories and jewelry. There will be over a dozen local vendors, including the unique SOHUD Collective, who are rolling up in their converted 1998 Bluebird School Bus filled with vintage finds. Vendors like Your Dads Hand-Me Downs and Psychedelic Sunflower Vintage will have you diving into racks of retro gear, so be sure to bring your ‘90s fashion wishlist. Whether you’re looking for a pair of perfectly worn-in Levi’s or a neon windbreaker, this fest is a vintage lover’s dream.
And what’s a ‘90s fest without some killer music? Zoo Trippin’ and the Ruvane Duo will be taking over the stage to bring those retro vibes to life. You can soak in the tunes as you skate around the pop-up rink—just remember to bring your socks!
Right around the corner from The Yard, the Town Square is hosting the annual Chalk the Block event.
Local artists will be covering the streets in ‘90s-inspired chalk murals, transforming the square into a vibrant, colorful gallery. They’ll be working on their masterpieces all afternoon, so you can stroll through and watch the artwork come to life. The next day, the murals will be complete, giving you another chance to marvel at the creativity.
While you’re at the Town Square, be sure to catch the live music lineup, which will be running all day long. The variety of performers, from George Brazil to the Largemouth Brass Band, will keep you entertained as the artists work on their chalk designs. There’s something for everyone, with a mix of jazz, brass, indie, and DJ sets.
Easton is a 90’s baby
When Easton first opened in 1999, it became a game-changer for retail and entertainment in the city, offering a lifestyle center that was part mall, part community hub. From its original stores like Abercrombie & Fitch and The Limited, to its many restaurants and public spaces, Easton has been a cornerstone of shopping and entertainment in Columbus for 25 years.
So, whether you’re a diehard ‘90s fan or just looking for a fun weekend activity, the ‘90s Vintage Fest and Chalk the Block at Easton will have something to keep you entertained all day long. Grab your friends, throw on your favorite retro gear, and get ready to relive the ‘90s in style.
