Here Are The Renderings For Confluence Village Park, A New Riverfront Park In The Arena District

A new, 3-acre park is in the works on Nationwide Boulevard as part of the new Confluence Village development.

Confluence Village Park would transform the north bank of the Olentangy River at the south end of Nationwide Blvd. The park would include pathways, green space, and a paddle craft boat ramp. The Confluence Village area will also be home to the new Crew Stadium as well as apartments, retail and commercial spaces, and a new parking garage.

I know we sort of zoomed right by it up there, but it’s safe to say that the most exciting thing about the new park will be the boat ramp. Kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding are surging in popularity right now and having another spot to get in the water downtown is a great thing.

The park will also be the home of the new pedestrian walkway which will connect Confluence Village on the east side of the Olentangy across the river where it would connect to the Olentangy Trail.

All of the projects in Confluence village are expected to open within the next couple of years, beginning with the pedestrian bridge and Crew Stadium. Construction on the stadium began in October 2019 and has continued on without much delay due to COVID-19. To learn more about Confluence Village, please click here.
