Let’s face it, there are a ton of choices when it comes to things to do on a given weekend.
Multiple festivals, events, and shows to watch. But I am here to make a shameless plug that on September 21st, you’re at Columbus Yoga Festival.
Since it’s the first year, you probably don’t know what to expect. So I thought I would give you some tips, you can thank me later.
1. Spend time in Nature
We aren’t exaggerating when we say Camp Mary Orton is majestic. It is tucked away and surrounded by trees. Spend the day outside soaking it all in.
2. Make New Friends
The event will be full of other people who are also interested in learning more wellness. Say hello and make a friend.
3. Get to know your Local Vendors
Check out artisans who are passionate about their craft, you never know what interesting things you might find!
4. Discover Something New
Whether Yoga is a part of your everyday life or just something you kind of know exists, there is something new for you at this event. Over 30 local businesses are offering experiences throughout the day that give you a look a what they have to offer
There is a reason this is a trending topic lately. There are several experience stations at the event where you can get a little pampering.
While you’re surrounded by trees and beauty, you’ll want to put your phone away and bask in it.
7. Be a Kid Again
Consider this your opportunity for field day like when you were in school. Minus the scoreboards and the awkward interactions with your peers. There will be plenty of ways to play and adventure outside all day!
8. It’s the perfect way to close out the Summer and start the Autumn
Take some time in one of the classes to process how your summer went and meditate on how you want to start your autumn.
9. Check out a Columbus Gem that’s not always Open
Camp Mary Orton might be one of the best hidden gems in Columbus. While it is a functioning camp, you can’t just go hang out there anytime you choose without a rental. Now is your chance to!
