Gemüt Biergarten Has Opened In A Former Olde Towne East Fire Station And It’s Phenomenal

Gemüt Biergarten is officially open.

After an unexpected delay, OTE’s newest establishment has opened their beautiful doors. Occupying a former fire station, the brewery is seriously stunning. From the artfully designed and locally crafted stained-glass that correlate with specific beers, to the handmade furniture in the space, you can tell a lot of love and care went into creating Gemüt Biergarten.

When I say this place gives off nerd vibes, I mean it in the best way possible. The owners of Gemüt embraced their love of geek culture. Each of the flagship beers pulls its name from Germanic Mythology, which also ties into the massive stained glass panels behind the bar.

The seating at Gemüt is communal, and the tables and benches were made by the father of one of the owners. In addition to the main hall, there is also ample seating out back in the biergarten, and soon there will be a patio in front of the restaurant on Oak Street.

Gemüt Biergarten is open Tuesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to midnight. For more info about the space, or to see their menus, you can visit their website here.
