Puppies Found Freezing In Box On Morse Road Get A Second Chance

In a most heartwarming rescue, ten newborn puppies, now affectionately called the “Morse Road Miracle Pups,” are safe and thriving thanks to some incredible teamwork and a Good Samaritan with perfect timing.

Abandoned in a box on Morse Road in 19-degree weather, these tiny babies were in a fight for their lives. Newborn puppies can’t regulate their body temperature, and without a heat source, their chances of survival are slim. But thanks to quick action and the expert care of the Franklin County Dog Shelter team, these pups are off the streets, out of the cold, and on the road to a better life.

After just one week in foster care, these little miracles are thriving. The shelter’s foster program is working overtime, providing everything these newborns need to survive and grow. If you’ve ever cared for newborn pups or a nursing mom, you know how intense (and rewarding) the process can be.

The shelter is planning to keep the pups in foster care until they’re 10 weeks old, after which they’ll be available for adoption. In the meantime, you can help support their journey by donating much-needed supplies like puppy pads and blankets through the shelter’s Amazon Wishlist.
