Adventure Cove Is Now Open At The Columbus Zoo And Aquarium

The newest exhibit at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium is up and running.

Adventure Cove is open to the public. The new area is home to sea lions and seals and the space is incredible. The underwater viewing tunnel gives visitors the chance to get a 360-degree view of these adorable pinnipeds as they swim around.

Next door to Adventure Cove is Jack Hanna’s Animal Encounters Village, where visitors can have wildlife interactions. Ambassador animals like sloths, bat-eared foxes, penguins, and more can be found at the village, which can house up to 50 species.

Stingray Bay is also a part of the new area, where visitors can touch and feed stingrays. Just in case you need a little more to be excited about, there’s even a new baby sea lion at the zoo. How cute is that pup?

The zoo reopened with new protocols and guidelines for COVID-19 available on their website. All visits (including for Members) require a dated, timed ticket to help ensure that social distancing and other precautions are followed appropriately. Exhibits are also one-way and there are several hand hygiene stations throughout the zoo.
