Deviled eggs have a pretty reliable spot on the holiday appetizer table. But the Ohio Poultry Association is making a case for giving the classic a little more personality this year.
In celebration of National Deviled Egg Day on Monday, Nov. 2, the organization has opened its Deviled Egg Vault, releasing four recipes inspired by some of the fan-favorite flavors served at the Ohio State Fair. The recipes are available online for a limited time, giving home cooks a chance to recreate some of the fair’s more creative egg creations without having to wait until next summer.
The lineup includes brisket, hot honey everything, French onion, and Buffalo chicken. Here’s what’s inside the vault.
Brisket Deviled Eggs

A little barbecue belongs at just about any gathering, and this recipe brings that smoky flavor to the appetizer table. The brisket deviled eggs are topped with brisket, barbecue sauce, and a pickle.

Hot Honey Everything Deviled Eggs

Sweet heat meets the savory crunch of everything bagel seasoning. It’s a combination that feels right at home on a brunch spread, holiday appetizer tray, or pretty much anywhere you’d normally find a plate of deviled eggs.

French Onion Deviled Eggs

French onion soup gets the deviled egg treatment in this recipe, bringing those rich, comforting flavors into a bite-sized appetizer. Consider it a good option for anyone who thinks caramelized onion makes just about everything better.

Buffalo Chicken Deviled Eggs

My fellow buffalo chicken dip fans, this one’s for us. Inspired by the classic game-day favorite, these deviled eggs bring tangy, spicy Buffalo flavor to the party.

The Ohio Poultry Association says the four recipes will be available for a limited time through the Deviled Egg Vault. They’re designed with holiday entertaining in mind, but they’re also a good excuse to bring something a little different to your next potluck, tailgate, or family gathering.
And if none of these flavors are quite your thing, the Ohio Eggs website has plenty of other recipes to explore. Just don’t be surprised when deviled eggs become your new go-to party assignment.
