After years of anticipation, Hollywood Casino Columbus is officially entering the hotel business.
The casino’s new 203-room hotel will celebrate its grand opening on Thursday, June 12, with a festival-style event featuring live music, food trucks, fireworks, giveaways, and a headlining performance from rock star Bret Michaels.
The new hotel marks a major expansion for the West Side entertainment destination, which has operated as a casino since 2012 but has never offered on-site accommodations.
The eight-story hotel includes 183 standard guest rooms and 20 luxury suites, along with a full-service restaurant and bar, meeting and conference space, a fitness center, and an outdoor terrace.
To celebrate the opening, Hollywood Casino is hosting a large outdoor festival beginning at 6 p.m. on June 12.
The event will feature local food trucks, bars, interactive activities, giveaways, and plenty of chances to win prizes before Bret Michaels takes the stage at 8 p.m.
The former Poison frontman is expected to headline the evening’s festivities before a fireworks display and projection-mapping show transform the exterior of the new hotel into a giant canvas of light and sound.
The casino is also giving away some notable prizes during its “Rockstar Ride-Off Giveaway,” including cash, PENN Slot Play, a signed Bret Michaels guitar, and a 2026 Indian Chief motorcycle. Five finalists will be selected for the drawing, with one lucky winner walking away with either $20,000 in cash or $25,000 in PENN Slot Play.
If you’re planning to attend, keep in mind that the event is restricted to guests 21 and older, and tickets are required for entry. The casino is also encouraging guests to arrive through the Georgesville Road entrance due to event-related parking changes.
Room reservations for the hotel opened earlier this spring and are already available through Hollywood Casino’s website.
