WinterFest is back, Columbus.
WinterFest returns to Bicentennial Park on Saturday, December 6, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The city’s favorite cold-weather bash will bring live music, local food trucks, craft brews, cozy cocktails, and all the winter cheer you can handle.
This free event, hosted by the Columbus Recreation and Parks Department, is basically a dance party disguised as a winter festival. Thousands of locals bundle up every year to kick off the season along the Scioto Mile, and this year’s lineup is looking extra hot.
Live music that’ll keep you moving
The party starts at 11 a.m. and rolls all afternoon with live performances from RJD2 (with live band), Wave Magnetik, and Damn Girl. Bring your best winter boots—you’ll need them when the dancing starts.

Food trucks and festive drinks
You can’t dance on an empty stomach, and WinterFest always delivers when it comes to food. This year’s lineup includes Cousins Maine Lobster, Fat Kid Burgers, Grilled Cheese Gangsters, Mustafa’s Halal Gyro, Ninja Bowl, Pitabilities, Fun’l Frenzy, and Travelin’ Tom’s Coffee.
For those looking to warm up, there will be seasonal craft beers from Ohio breweries and a special hot bourbon chai cider made with Middle West Spirits Straight Wheated Bourbon and Simple Times Mixers’ chai apple mule. Not into alcohol? Don’t worry—Pepsi products will be on hand too.
Fun for all everyone
WinterFest is all about having a good time and embracing the chillier seasons here in Columbus. There will be mechanical reindeer rides, cornhole, and plenty of festive fun to distract you from how cold you are.
“Columbus is all about community, and there’s no better way to kick off winter than gathering with your neighbors to enjoy some great food, amazing music, and downtown festivities,” said Bernita A. Reese, Director of the Columbus Recreation and Parks Department.
And here’s the best part—it’s free!
You can bring your friends, your family, or just your best dance moves. There’s no entry fee, and plenty of nearby parking makes it easy to join the fun.
WinterFest first launched in 2017 and has since become one of the city’s favorite winter traditions. It’s a celebration of everything Columbus does best: food, music, and community spirit.
