If you’re a fan of old-timey diners where the food is classic and the jukeboxes are cheap, I’ve got some bad news! Johnny Rockets at Lennox has permanently closed its doors.
Rumor has it that the lease for Johnny Rockets was not renewed, and it joins coffee shop Cup O’ Joe in closing its doors, which announced its shuttering last week.
According to some Columbusites on Reddit, the Cup O’ Joe space is being remodeled for redevelopment, specifically, a new Cameron Mitchell Restaurant. It is unclear on what will replace Johnny Rockets, or if it will be part of the new Cameron Mitchell space as well.
We reached out to Johnny Rockets on both a local and corporate level, but no comment was received at the time of publication. We will update this story as more information becomes available.
