Say It Ain’t So! Johnny Rockets Has Permanently Closed At Lennox

If you’re a fan of old-timey diners where the food is classic and the jukeboxes are cheap, I’ve got some bad news! Johnny Rockets at Lennox has permanently closed its doors.

Rumor has it that the lease for Johnny Rockets was not renewed, and it joins coffee shop Cup O’ Joe in closing its doors, which announced its shuttering last week.

According to some Columbusites on Reddit at the time, the Cup O’ Joe space was being remodeled for redevelopment, specifically, a new Cameron Mitchell Restaurant. It was unclear then what would replace Johnny Rockets, or whether it would be part of the new Cameron Mitchell space as well. The Cameron Mitchell restaurant never came. CoreLife Eatery opened in the space in 2018 and closed in December 2022.

We reached out to Johnny Rockets on both a local and corporate level, but no comment was received at the time of publication. We will update this story as more information becomes available.
