There are some days when you just need a burger and some fries.
You all know what I’m talking about.
The first day back after a long weekend, when you can still taste summer on your tongue. So when the opportunity came up to go check out Flavor 91 in Whitehall, I jumped on it.
Since it was lunch time and I had to go back to work, I, unfortunately, had to skip the beer and wine, but the burger was definitely happening.
We were greeted immediately by a man named Moses, and after taking our drink orders, he promptly brought us two samples of soup.
Today’s options were a cream of chicken and chili.
If I had any courage at all, I would have ordered a whole bowl of the chili. But I don’t handle spicy well and after all, I did come here for a burger.
I went with their signature Flavor Burger and fresh-cut fries.
One of the first things that Moses mentioned was that all of their beef was grass fed and non-gmo, and their burgers are pattied by hand. I have to admit, these things don’t typically mean anything to me.
But boy, should they.
I ordered my burger medium rare, mostly because I can’t stand a dry burger. But this was honestly the juiciest and most delicious burger I’ve had in a long time.
The Flavor Burger was topped with pepper jack cheese, beef bacon, spicy flavor sauce, romaine hearts, tomato, and onion.
In other words… AWESOME.
The fresh cut fries were perfectly salted and crispy, the perfect addition to the burger.
Although the patio wasn’t open yet, the large doors were open, allowing a gentle breeze throughout the restaurant. Flavor 91 had a very vacation-vibe, and it would be the perfect place to grab a drink with friends after work!
