Central Market House Needs To Be Added To Your Columbus Restaurant Bucket List

There’s a new date night restaurant in Columbus, and it’s pretty awesome.

Canopy by Hilton, the newest boutique hotel in Columbus, is home to the Central Market House. The restaurant offers a flexitarian dining experience, from the board room to the relaxing retreat.

Executive Chef Tripp Maudlin will oversee both the Central Market House and The Goodale Station rooftop experience at the hotel. Although he’s an Alabama native, he’s cooked all across America. That experience has led to a diverse menu at Central Market House including soups, salads, sandwiches, and flatbreads.

The menus are designed to be seasonal, using the best ingredients from Ohio and the Midwest. Local produce, meats, and dairy are used in the recipes and there are dishes for all palates, including vegetarian and vegan options.

The restaurant itself is modern and bright, with both indoor and outdoor seating. The patio seems like a particularly wonderful place to enjoy one of Central Market House’s incredible cocktails. I had the Guilty Pleasure, and I can tell you with 100% certainty that I felt no guilt at all for enjoying such a well-crafted cocktail.

Although the rooftop bar, Goodale Station, isn’t open quite yet, we were lucky enough to get a sneak peek of the area. It has a beautiful view of downtown Columbus… like, a seriously jaw-dropping view. There’s also a space upstairs for private dining of up to 24 guests. I can already see the rehearsal dinners, people. The rooftop is expected to open sometime at the end of August.

Luckily, Central Market House is already open, 7 days a week. You can stop by for breakfast from 6:30-9:30 a.m. Monday-Friday and 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. on the weekends. Lunch and dinner will be served daily from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. For more info about Central Market House, you can visit their website here.
