The Best New Restaurants In Columbus (August 2026)

Updated: July 31, 2026

In this guide

There’s always something new and delicious to try in Columbus.

July turned out to be one of the busiest opening months of the year. The most visible restaurant space in the city came back to life on the Scioto Mile, and a donut shop that never closes landed on Hamilton Road. The month ended with two pizza grand openings on the same day. Further down the list you’ll find bagels with more than 20 schmears and an Afghan family cooking their country’s most famous rice dish out of a truck on Sawmill Road.

We update this guide every month and re-check that every spot on it is still open.

Looking for the other side of the ledger? Here’s which Columbus restaurants recently closed.
