Fox in the Snow will open its new Upper Arlington location this weekend (July 11th) at 1519 W. Lane Ave., the storefront that used to be Roll Bicycle Co. before it closed in 2024.
A bike shop couldn’t make the math work but if scratch pastries succeed I guess that will tell us something about how Columbus likes to spend its money.

Fox in the Snow started at 1031 N. Fourth St. in Italian Village back in 2014, and it has spent the decade since becoming a reliable Columbus pleasure. German Village followed in 2017, then New Albany in 2018, Dublin in 2023, and Westerville last year.
The Clintonville location, in the old Hot Chicken Takeover space on High Street, opened in this year in early May to the usual scene, a line down the block and something special for the first hundred people through the door.
The Lane Avenue café makes seven. The same formula every time, which makes sense because it’s clearly working. Flaky croissants, cinnamon rolls, scones, plus the savory breakfast sandwiches often named some of the best in the city. The hours will match the rest of the roster: 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekdays, 8 to 3 on weekends.
Get there early for opening morning. As per Fox In The Snow tradition the first people in line will receive a memento. This time it’s a pretty sweet Fox In The Snow shirt for the first 300 customers.
