Cedar Point is making waves yet again, living up to its title as “The Roller Coaster Capital of the World.” In summer 2025, the park will debut its latest addition: Siren’s Curse, a record-breaking “tilt” roller coaster that promises to be the tallest, fastest, and longest of its kind in North America.
The Legend Behind the Thrills
Siren’s Curse draws inspiration from Lake Erie’s mysterious folklore. Local legends speak of sirens who lured sailors to their doom with hauntingly beautiful songs. Now, these mythical creatures are coming ashore to ensnare Cedar Point guests in an unforgettable ride.
Riders will start their journey on a 160-foot-tall shipping crane replica. As they climb, eerie melodies echo in the background, building tension. At the top, the train stops abruptly on a broken section of track. The platform tilts 90 degrees, leaving riders hanging vertically as they stare straight down, waiting for the track to reconnect.
What Makes This Coaster Unique
Once the track locks back into place, the adventure kicks into high gear. The train plunges into nearly 3,000 feet of track at speeds of up to 58 mph. Along the way, riders will experience:
- 13 airtime moments that will leave them weightless.
- Two 360-degree barrel rolls, delivering thrilling twists.
- A triple-down element, with sharp, overbanked turns.
- Each train, carrying 24 passengers, will feature onboard audio and LED lighting for a fully immersive experience.
A New Icon for Cedar Point
Siren’s Curse will be located near the Cedar Point Marina, across from the Iron Dragon coaster. Its compact layout ensures an intense ride packed into a small space. According to Carrie Boldman, Cedar Point’s Vice President and General Manager, “That first precarious tilted position where you’re hanging on – looking straight down – and waiting for the track to connect will be a signature moment our fans will love.”

The addition of Siren’s Curse brings Cedar Point’s coaster lineup to 19, joining iconic rides like Millennium Force, Steel Vengeance, and Maverick. Fans also have the reopening of Top Thrill 2 to look forward to in 2025.
