After more than a decade of welcoming visitors for wine, live music, and weekends in the vineyard, Three Oaks Vineyard is getting ready to close its doors.
The Granville winery announced that 2026 will be its final year in business as owners Pete and Diana Hooverman retire after 14 years. They plan to continue selling wine through Dec. 31, with any remaining bottles potentially available into early 2027 until they’re gone.
In a Facebook post announcing the decision, the Hoovermans said they’re looking forward to spending more time with friends and family, while thanking the customers who helped make Three Oaks what it became.
“We’re incredibly grateful to all of you. You have become our friends. We’ve enjoyed wine together, listened to many talented local musicians, tasted some wonderful food from food trucks and you’ve supported us in countless ways,” the post reads.
Three Oaks officially opened as a winery in 2012, though the vineyard itself began years earlier with just nine vines. Today, the property is home to more than 800 vines and 10 grape varieties, with many of the grapes used in its wines grown right on site.
Located at 1591 Crosley Rd. in Granville, the winery became known for more than just its wine. Live music, food trucks, wine slushies in the summer, and a patio overlooking the vineyard helped make it a favorite weekend destination for Central Ohio wine lovers.
The final season won’t be cutting any traditions short.
Friday Open Mic nights will continue through Oct. 23, while Saturday live music is scheduled through Nov. 21. Most events include a food truck, and guests are welcome to bring their own food on nights when one isn’t scheduled.
The Hoovermans say retirement doesn’t mean they’re done with the property. They’ll continue offering the pavilion for private rentals and are already thinking about new ways to bring people together there in the future.
