1. The Scioto Mile Fountain is Back and Better

The iconic Scioto Mile Fountain has reopened after a year-long renovation, just in time for summer! With over 6,000 visitors on its reopening weekend, it’s clear that this beloved spot is the place to be. New features include enhanced lighting, water effects, and plenty of seating and shade. It’s open daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. until September 2nd. So, grab your friends and make a splash!

2. FREE Dorrian Days Fun

Every Tuesday from June 11 to August 20 (excluding July 2), head to Dorrian Green for FREE family fun from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Think giant inflatables, cool games, the COSI curbside van, themed activities, and food trucks. Plus, the Dorrian Green water feature is perfect for cooling off!

3. Rock Out at Fountainside Fun

Select Mondays and Thursdays from June 3 to August 12, join in the Fountainside fun at Bicentennial Park. From live music and performances to tabletop games and food trucks, these events from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. are perfect for a family outing. And yes, the fountain is open for free splashing!

4. Paddle Away on FREE Kayak Days

Experience the Scioto River up close and personal on July 13 and August 10 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Enjoy complimentary kayaks, tandem kayaking, and stand-up paddleboard rentals. Perfect for all skill levels, this is a summer adventure you won’t want to miss.

5. Midway on the Mile is Carnival Bliss

Join the fun on the Rich Street Bridge for Midway on the Mile! This unique carnival runs from July 12-13 and August 10-11, 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Expect a trackless train, obstacle courses, a wipeout attraction, and more. July brings a roller rink, while August features a putt-putt course. It’s the carnival fun you love with stunning downtown views.

6. Wednesdays on the Water

Save your Wednesdays for a serene paddle down the Scioto River. From May 29 to July 31 (except July 3), you can get a $15 discount on a one-hour watercraft rental. Make sure to book ahead, though walk-ins are welcome if space allows.

7. Scenic Views Everywhere
