A Visit To The Coshocton Sunflower Festival Is The Spark Of Joy You Needed This Summer

Looking to spend some time outside and bring a little joy into your life?

The Coshocton Sunflower Festival is a sunny, bright, very Instagrammable experience. The fields are full of golden, towering sunflowers that you can clip for yourself and take home.

The entire experience is outdoors and the festival has taken extra precautions in the face of COVID-19. Tickets will be assigned specific times and they are only available online. There won’t be any ticket sales at the door, so don’t forget to buy before you go!

Groups visiting the festival together should be fewer than 10 people and masks are required in certain areas of the festival where other guests or workers are close by and on the wagon ride. If you’d rather skip riding with strangers on the wagon, you can take the 1/4 mile walk down to the field.

There is food and live music at the festival, but you must remain seated at all times at the picnic tables while eating.

Each ticket holder visiting the festival gets to choose and cut a sunflower of their choice. You can also add on packages that allow you to cut more flowers. If you’re hoping to plan a photoshoot, you totally can. No additional fees or reservations are required for a photo shoot. If you don’t hire a professional photographer, don’t worry. There are still plenty of gorgeous shots you can get on your phone.

You can visit the festival beginning August 9 and the festival will close on August 23 with Dog Day, where your adorable pups can frolic (while leashed) through the fields.
