The Scioto Peninsula project will officially break ground in September.

Columbus Downtown Development Corp., the developer behind the massive project, will begin construction on the first four buildings of the project in just a few months, with a projected opening of Phase 1 buildings in September 2022.

The four buildings include:

  • An 8-story, 232,000 sq. ft. office building
  • An 8-story, 132,000 sq. ft. independent hotel
  • Two mixed-use buildings with retail space and 330 residential units.

The large office building will have ground-floor retail space available, 5,000 square feet of it to be exact. The hotel will have both a lobby and rooftop bar, as well as meeting spaces and ground-floor retail options.

Over in the mixed-use buildings, residents will find a rooftop pool and a sky deck, as well as a private skywalk between buildings for tenant use only. Each unit in the 11 and 6 story buildings will have their own balconies with unique views of Downtown Columbus and the Franklinton area.

When the project is completed, it will offer up to 2 million sare feet of office space, 1,800 residential units, and up to 400 hotel rooms. Hundreds of thousands of square feet of retail space will open up and a 1,400-space garage will help provide additional parking in the area.
