Mid-Ohio Food Collective has opened a new free market on the west side of Columbus.
The Mid-Ohio Market at Norton Road is officially open for service. The no-cost grocery store is available for families in need of fresh produce, nutritious food, and personal care products.
The market doesn’t require any special sign-ups or appointments to shop, but first-time customers will have to check in upon entry, providing a valid photo ID and proof of address, like a recent utility bill.
Customers are able to shop at the Mid-Ohio Market once per week. Upon return visits, customers will only need to bring their photo ID. The market recommends that visitors come to the market before heading to the grocery store, in order to shorten shopping lists elsewhere.

Mid-Ohio Market offers so much more than just groceries. Along with local partners, wrap-around services are available for customers to access help with housing, healthcare, financial literacy, and more.

One step that Mid-Ohio Markets have taken to make accessing fresh food even easier for those in need is making the hours longer with weekend and evening hours as an option.
Mid-Ohio Market is located at 620 Norton Road, Columbus, OH 43228. It’s open Monday from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday-Thursday from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The market is closed on Sunday.
