This Reality Love Show Is Casting In Columbus

“Love Is Blind,” the popular Netflix reality dating show, is casting in Columbus!

If Columbus is selected for the next season, get ready for local contestants to step into the pods and find love without seeing their date. Here’s what you need to know about the process.

If Columbus gets picked for a season, prepare for a whirlwind of drama, love stories, and endless internet gossip. Imagine 30 of our fellow Columbus residents turning into local celebs overnight. Talk about exciting!

How “Love Is Blind” Works

In case you’ve been living under a rock, here’s the scoop on how the show works:

  • Fifteen men and fifteen women from the same metro area (that’s us!) are put into separate “pods” where they can chat but not see each other.
  • The goal? Fall head over heels in love and get engaged without ever laying eyes on the other person. Wild, right?
  • Once engaged, couples finally meet face-to-face, go on a romantic getaway with the other lovebirds, and then move into an apartment in the city for four weeks.
  • At the end of it all, couples either tie the knot or face a dramatic rejection at the altar. Yikes!

What You Need to Know

The application process is no joke. It includes deep questions like “Why do you think you are single?” and “Have you ever been judged in previous relationships for something superficial?” Plus, you have to hand over all your social media handles. Talk about digging deep!

Reality Check

Let’s get real for a second. Out of all the couples that have appeared on the show since its debut in 2020, only nine out of 30 engaged couples have made it down the aisle and stayed together, according to Variety. But hey, those odds could be better, right?

Oh, and FYI, while the show pays contestants around $1,000 per week, there’s no cash prize for getting married. Your prize is love… and maybe a few thousand new Instagram followers.

Are You Ready to Apply?

Think you have what it takes to find love in a pod? Here’s what you need to start the application:

  • Be at least 21 years old.
  • Be single and not in a serious relationship.
  • Have a current U.S. passport.
  • Not planning to run for any political office (seriously, who knew?).
  • Be ready to volunteer for the emotional rollercoaster that is “Love Is Blind.”
  • So, Columbus, are you ready to become the next love experiment? Get those applications in and let’s show the world what Columbus has to offer! You can apply right here.
