Okay, friends. I am so excited about this house that I don’t even know where to begin. I guess I should just start with the basics.
This iconic, historic home was built in 1926. Huntington House is one of the grandest homes in the Columbus area and has over 11,000 square feet of living space, 9 bedrooms, and 8 bathrooms.
The home was designed in 1923 by Alfred Hopkins, an American architect who specialized in estate architecture. Hopkins created the house for Franz Huntington, the president of Huntington Bank.
In 1980, Huntington House was added to the National Registrer for Historic Places. From 2003-2009, the home underwent extensive rennovations, totally over $1 million.
The great room is so much more than just “great”. The room features 28 foot ceilings, tons of natural light, and stunning woodwork.
Although the home has been updated, there are still displays of 1920’s elegance throughout.
Speaking of updates: Can you believe this kitchen? The chef’s dream space includes white wood cabinetry, marble countertops, and top-of-the-line stainless steel appliances.
With 9 bedrooms, there’s no shortage of space to spread out. What kid wouldn’t love growing up in this nursery?
The decor throughout the home is timeless and elegant, even in the bathrooms.
Huntington House is currently listed for $1,595,000. For more info or to view the full listing, please click here.
