Columbus just got a little more colorful.
Starting May 31, Sean Kenney’s Nature Connects® Made with LEGO® Bricks will take over Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, bringing larger-than-life sculptures made entirely from LEGO bricks to the lush gardens of one of the city’s most iconic destinations.
Running through September 7, 2025, this award-winning, globally touring exhibition blends art, nature, and conservation into a vibrant, family-friendly experience. The mastermind behind the magic? Acclaimed New York artist Sean Kenney, who’s turned simple toy bricks into jaw-dropping animals, flowers, and ecosystems—all with a message.
“This exhibition is about more than just impressive sculptures,” said Kenney. “It’s about our relationship with nature, and how everything—from a tiny bee to a towering tree—is connected. Just like LEGO pieces, the natural world is built on interdependence.”
Expect to see endangered species, intricate garden scenes, and ecosystem-inspired works—each one crafted from thousands of LEGO bricks.

With every piece, Nature Connects invites visitors to reflect on conservation and celebrate the beauty of the natural world. And yes, you’re encouraged to let it spark your own creativity.
Hands-On Fun for Aspiring Builders
Feeling inspired? Head over to the Brick Build Gallery, open daily during the exhibition. This interactive space invites kids and adults alike to channel their inner architect with endless opportunities for hands-on creativity.
Think you’ve got what it takes to be a master builder?
From July 18–21, submit your original LEGO masterpiece during the Conservatory’s first-ever building block competition. Whether your creation is botanical, artistic, or nature-themed, the only limit is your imagination.
The brick love doesn’t stop when the sun goes down. For the first time ever, Franklin Park Conservatory is hosting Brick Nights—a special evening series filled with fun challenges and themed events.
Each night will feature activities like racing custom-built cars, testing your engineering skills in bridge-building contests, and contributing to a giant community mosaic designed by the creative team at Brixilated LLC. It’s a one-of-a-kind experience designed to excite builders of all ages.
Plan Your Visit
Nature Connects is presented by The Davis Foundation and is included with regular admission. Whether you’re a LEGO fanatic, nature lover, or just looking for a fun summer outing, this exhibit promises an unforgettable experience.
