Forbidden Root At Easton Is The First Concept To Open In The New $500 Million Expansion

Chicago’s Forbidden Root Restaurant & Brewery is now open at Easton and ready for you to explore.

I say explore because this behemoth is 12,000 square feet. Located at 4080 Worth Ave, Forbidden Root is the first concept to open in the new $500 million Easton Expansion. The brewery is two stories, with sort of an industrial vibe. There are 12 beers on tap, 10 of which are Forbidden Root’s own beers while the other two are rotating guest brews.

If you’re hoping to fill your tummy with something other than beer, you’re in luck. On the restaurant side of things, visitors can enjoy bar snacks (get the Ramen Seasoned Popcorn), charcuterie, and other small plates. There are also main courses, including a killer Schnitzel Sandwich, yummy housemade Fettuccine, and more.

In addition to the spacious interior of Forbidden Root, which has two levels of seating (did I already mention that?) there’s also going to be a rockin’ patio come springtime. Garage doors will open on the lower level out to the patio area. And upstairs, retractable windows will overlook an outdoor stage that’s part of the aforementioned Easton expansion.

You can visit Forbidden Root any day of the week at their new digs. For more info, including info on what beer they’re brewing up, check out their website.
