There’s a new Anthropologie coming to Upper Arlington, and it’s bringing something the old Short North location didn’t have.
The brand is opening a roughly 9,000-square-foot shop at The Shops on Lane Avenue next spring, giving Columbus another place to browse the clothes, home décor, beauty products and other things Anthropologie somehow convinces us we need. But the really interesting part is that this location will also include Anthropologie Weddings, with bridal apparel and accessories that aren’t available at the brand’s Easton store.
That makes the new shop a little different from the Anthropologie Columbus shoppers are already familiar with. Anthropologie Weddings launched in 2011 and includes wedding dresses, bridesmaid dresses, and other pieces for the big day, so this won’t just be another place to pick up a candle that smells like an expensive vacation (but that would be worth it too).
The Upper Arlington store will also give the brand a second Columbus location after its Short North shop inside The Joseph closed last year.
The Easton location, at 4235 The Strand, remains open, while the new shop will be located at 1705 W. Lane Ave. in The Shops on Lane Avenue.
Anthropologie has been around since 1992 and has grown into a global lifestyle brand with more than 200 stores. The company is known for its mix of apparel, beauty, home décor and other lifestyle goods, all with the slightly whimsical aesthetic that has made it a particularly recognizable name in retail.
The new Upper Arlington location is expected to open in spring 2027, so there’s a little time before you can start planning your first very unnecessary purchase.
