Toledo Is Getting A Super Cool Treehouse Village And We’re Incredibly Jealous

Toledo is nearing completion on one of the coolest parks we’ve ever seen, and we have to admit, we’re pretty jealous.

Toledo Metroparks will open a one-of-a-kind treehouse village at Oak Openings Toledo Metropark later this year. The Cannaley Treehouse Village will include four private treehouses which will be available to rent overnight, as well as a common treehouse that can be rented for daytime use by larger groups.

The treehouse village was designed by Nelson Treehouse and Supply, aka the awesome treehouse builders on Animal Planet’s Treehouse Masters.

“In recent years, we have added many compelling new ways for people to connect with the out-of-doors, from new parks and trails to a 3D archery course and camping on a Maumee River island,” said Dave Zenk, Metroparks Toledo executive director. “These experiences, along with the Treehouse Village, add to our region’s growing reputation as a great place to live, work and play.”

The Cannaley Treehouse Village is scheduled to open later this year. For more info, or to plan your visit, please click here.

It’s totally worth the 2.5-hour drive, right?
