Columbus air service is on a run right now. There were a dozen new flight announcements between January and June of 2026. JetBlue is coming back in November. And Columbus finally has nonstops to Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic on the books, both starting in early 2027. Then on October 19th, Lufthansa announced a Frankfurt route, the first nonstop from Columbus to Europe, starting in May 2027.
That pace is great news if you fly out of here. It also means most lists of Columbus nonstops go stale within a few months. Every nonstop from both Columbus airports is below, with the seasonal routes marked.
The short version
As of July 2026, you can fly nonstop from Columbus to 57 airports on 10 airlines. Most routes fly out of John Glenn Columbus International (CMH). Allegiant runs nine leisure routes out of Rickenbacker (LCK). Three more destinations are announced but not flying yet, Punta Cana, San Juan, and Frankfurt. JetBlue arrives in November 2026 as airline number 11, and Lufthansa follows in May 2027.

Seasonal means the airline only flies the route part of the year, and the exact dates shift from season to season. If a seasonal flight is outside the airline’s current booking window, it won’t show up in flight search at all, but the route still exists. It just isn’t on sale yet.
The table also leaves out one thing on purpose. Airlines sometimes run one-off flights around big Ohio State road games, and this season that means extra flights to Austin, Cedar Rapids, Los Angeles, Lincoln and Omaha in the days around kickoff. Announced but not flying yet
This is where new routes wait between the press release and the first departure. Five are on the board right now.
Fort Lauderdale on JetBlue. The first flight is November 3, 2026. Fort Lauderdale already has nonstop service from Columbus on Southwest, Allegiant, and Frontier, but this one matters because it puts JetBlue back at CMH after years away. JetBlue’s return to Columbus was announced in May.
Punta Cana on Breeze. Breeze starts the route January 8, 2027, and flies it Mondays and Fridays through the winter. It’s a seasonal route to the Dominican Republic, timed for exactly the months when Ohio is at its grayest.
San Juan on Southwest. Southwest flies it on Saturdays starting February 13, 2027. It’s seasonal, and Puerto Rico is a US territory, so no passport needed. San Juan was one of the airport’s top unserved destinations.
Myrtle Beach on Breeze. Breeze’s first departure is May 28, 2027. Southwest already flies there from John Glenn and Allegiant from Rickenbacker, both seasonally, so Breeze makes three airlines on the route.
Frankfurt on Lufthansa. Service starts in May 2027 and runs three days a week, on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, on a Boeing 787 with 287 seats. Tickets go on sale October 20th. It’s the first nonstop from Columbus to Europe, and Frankfurt is a Lufthansa hub with onward connections across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia.
The beach math
Fourteen of the 57 airports on this list are in Florida: Destin, Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Jacksonville, Key West, Miami, both Orlando airports, Palm Beach, Panama City Beach, Punta Gorda, Sarasota, Tampa, and St. Pete-Clearwater. If you have a specific stretch of Florida sand in mind, there’s almost certainly a nonstop that lands within an hour of it.
Beyond Florida, Myrtle Beach flies seasonally from both Columbus airports, and Cancun runs seasonally on American and Southwest. For now, Cancun is the only beach on this list you need a passport for. Punta Cana joins it in January 2027, and San Juan (no passport, see above) starts that February.
Flying out of Rickenbacker instead of John Glenn
Nine routes on this list leave from Rickenbacker, not John Glenn, and all nine are Allegiant: Destin, Fort Lauderdale, Key West, Myrtle Beach, Orlando/Sanford, Punta Gorda, Sarasota, Savannah, and St. Pete-Clearwater. Rickenbacker is mostly a cargo operation with one small passenger terminal, which means short lines and not much else once you’re through them. If you booked Allegiant, double-check which airport is on your confirmation before you drive.

What airlines fly out of Columbus?
Ten right now: American, Delta, Southwest, United, Alaska, Air Canada, Breeze, Frontier, Sun Country, and Allegiant, with Allegiant flying only from Rickenbacker. JetBlue becomes the eleventh in November 2026, and Lufthansa the twelfth in May 2027. Southwest is the largest carrier at John Glenn.
How many nonstop destinations does Columbus have?
57 airports as of July 2026, counting both John Glenn and Rickenbacker. Three more are announced, Punta Cana and San Juan for early 2027 and Frankfurt for May 2027. The airport authority rounds it to “55+” in its marketing, and the number has been climbing all year.
Why can’t I find a seasonal flight on the airline’s website?
Airlines only sell tickets inside their booking window, which runs close to a year out on some airlines and shorter on others. American, for one, lets you book up to 331 days before departure. A seasonal route that isn’t flying and isn’t bookable yet simply won’t appear in search results, even though it’s coming back. Check again closer to the season, or look up the route on the airline’s site directly.
Does Columbus have nonstop flights to Europe?
Not yet, but the first one is announced. Lufthansa starts flying John Glenn to Frankfurt in May 2027, three days a week on a Boeing 787, and tickets go on sale October 20th. Until then the only destinations outside the US are Toronto, Montreal, and Cancun, with Punta Cana joining in January 2027.
