Pumpkin Donuts from Buckeye Donuts
My favorite donuts in Columbus made with my favorite flavor. Yum.
Buckeye Donuts is legendary around here, and for good reason. Every donut there is a dream, but this time of year, there’s nothing I want to take a bite out of more than their Pumpkin Donut. The North Market stall keeps market hours rather than the campus shop’s round-the-clock schedule, so plan the late-night run accordingly.

Harvest Pumpkin Ice Cream from Graeter’s
Grab a pint, throw on a comfy sweater, and curl up. It’s time to treat yourself to a pint.
It might not be as headline-grabbing as the infamous Skyline Chili collaboration, but the Harvest Pumpkin at Graeter’s is nothing to sneer at. It’s creamy, a little spicy (not the chili kind), and it’s a nice little treat. Graeter’s brought it back for the season on August 28, by the scoop and in pints, with a Pumpkin Chai Chiller on the fall menu if a cone isn’t enough.

Pumpkin Pie from Just Pies
For when you’re looking for the perfect OG pumpkin dessert.
I don’t think I need to explain to anyone why Pumpkin Pie has earned its place on this list. It’s the mother of all other pumpkin desserts, the one that walked so the rest could run.

Pumpkin Spice Bundt Cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes
These little pumpkin cakes pack a punch. They’re flavorful and filling and completely wonderful in every way.
I know that Nothing Bundt Cakes is a chain bakery, but their tiny little pumpkin spice bundt cakes are entirely too cute and delicious not to be included here. They’re sugar, spice, and genuinely, everything nice. Pumpkin Spice is a limited-time flavor that rotates in partway through fall rather than sitting in the case all year, so check the flavor page before you make the trip.

Pumpkin Cream Puff from Schmidt’s
An autumn twist on a classic, Columbus dessert.
Some might argue that the most powerful of all pumpkin-treats in Columbus, the final boss if you will, is the Pumpkin Cream Puff from Schmidt’s. It’s got everything you love about their usual cream puffs, except it has perfection in the filling. Schmidt’s rotates its specialty cream puff flavor through the year, and pumpkin spice is its fall pick, so don’t expect it in the case in April.

Pumpkin Donuts from Resch’s Bakery
Resch’s is an old family bakery in a brand-new building, and the fall case is the reason to go.
Resch’s moved the whole operation from Livingston Avenue to a much bigger shop in Gahanna last fall, and the pumpkin donut is one of the things it only bakes in the fall. It’s a spiced cake donut from a family bakery that has been at it since 1912, and the shop closes on Sundays, so make it a Saturday run.
