3842 Lambton Pl, New Albany: $4,000,000

Sale price: $4,000,000 (September 15, 2026)
Details: 6 bedrooms, 6 full and 2 half bathrooms, 9,566 square feet above grade on 0.76 acres, built in 2006, New Albany-Plain schools
About the house: This was the only $4 million-plus sale in Franklin County in September, and it wasn’t particularly close. The next-highest sale was $2.7 million. It was listed for $4.2 million, so the final price came in $200,000 under asking. There’s also a sizable difference in the reported square footage: the auditor counts 9,566 square feet above grade, while the listing counted 14,566 square feet in all. Either way, it’s the biggest house in the top five by more than 3,500 square feet. The county photo shows a brick Georgian with a columned entry and a long brick drive.
4615 Yantis Dr, New Albany: $2,700,000

Sale price: $2,700,000 (September 14, 2026)
Details: 5 bedrooms, 4 full and 2 half bathrooms, 6,001 square feet on 0.67 acres, built in 1993, New Albany-Plain schools
About the house: This house sold for $2.3 million in January 2025, then sold again for $2.7 million this September. Before that first sale, it had been listed for $2.79 million in November 2024. So the first buyer paid nearly half a million dollars less than the asking price, and the house then sold for $400,000 more less than two years later. That’s a pretty significant jump for a house that changed hands twice in 20 months.
1980 Hillside Dr, Upper Arlington: $2,600,000

Sale price: $2,600,000 (September 22, 2026)
Details: 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, 4,473 square feet on 0.68 acres, built in 1958, Upper Arlington schools
About the house: The same buyer bought the house next door, 1960 Hillside Dr, eight days earlier for $1.35 million. That house was built in 1959 and has three bedrooms and 2,768 square feet. Then 1980 Hillside sold for $2.6 million on September 22nd. Together, the two properties are about 1.3 acres and cost $3.95 million. So, naturally, now we’re wondering what happens to the two lots.
4991 Yantis Dr, New Albany: $2,300,000

Sale price: $2,300,000 (September 9, 2026)

About the house: Two Yantis Drive homes made the top five in September, and they sold just five days apart. This one went for $2.3 million on September 9th, followed by the $2.7 million sale at 4615 Yantis on September 14th. That’s $5 million in home sales on the same street in less than a week. This one is a 1994 brick house with five bedrooms and six bathrooms on just over half an acre.
7013 Hanbys Loop, New Albany: $2,290,000

About the house: The county photo of this house was taken in May 2021, when it was still under construction. House wrap was showing, there were stacks of bricks in the yard, and it was still a long way from becoming a $2.29 million house. It was finished in 2022 and sold for just under $1.5 million in March 2023. Piper Creek Holdings LLC bought it for $2.29 million this September, $795,000 more than the previous sale. It’s also the newest house in the top five by 16 years, while sitting on the smallest lot at just 0.29 acres.
