The Most Expensive Homes Sold In Franklin County In August 2026

The most expensive home sold in Franklin County in August 2026 was 4460 Trabue Rd in Columbus, a 1954 ranch with three bedrooms and one bathroom that sold for $2.6 million on August 6th. The buyer is an LLC named for the address, and the house sits on 6.37 acres, so the price looks like a land deal with a house on it. The rest of the list looks more like a usual month at the top of the market, two Upper Arlington houses plus one each in New Albany and Bexley. One of the Upper Arlington sales is a 1941 house that sold to an LLC in 2023 for $1,425,000 and sold again in August for $2.3 million. Three of the five closed on the same day, August 6th.

The auditor’s weekly sales reports add up to about 1,800 homes changing hands in the county in August, at a median price of about $315,000.

Seven sales hit $2 million or more. These are the top five.

If you’d rather browse the big ones still on the market, Columbus Navigator keeps a running list of the most expensive homes for sale in Franklin County, updated as listings come and go. The second house below was on it in 2024.

Sale price: $2,600,000 (August 6, 2026)

Details: 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, 2,502 square feet on 6.37 acres, built in 1954, City of Columbus, Hilliard schools

About the house: A 1954 ranch with one bathroom doesn’t sell for $2.6 million on its own, and the six-plus acres under it are the likely reason this one did. The buyer of record is 4460 Trabue Road LLC. A company named for the lot usually means somebody has plans for the ground rather than the house, though no plans show up in the county record. The auditor still classes the parcel as a single-family dwelling on a platted lot, so by the rules of this list it ranks first.

Sale price: $2,400,000 (August 24, 2026)

Details: 5 bedrooms, 5 full and 1 half bathrooms, 7,269 square feet on nearly 3 acres, built in 1999, Upper Arlington schools

About the house: Columbus Navigator listed this house in November 2024 among the most expensive homes for sale in Franklin County, when the asking price was $2,999,900. The sale closed on August 24th at $2.4 million, about $600,000 under that ask. A trust is the owner of record now. At 7,269 square feet on nearly three acres, it’s the biggest house on this month’s list by a wide margin, and the next largest is under 5,000 square feet.

2292 Dorset Rd, Upper Arlington: $2,300,000

Sale price: $2,300,000 (August 6, 2026)

Details: 4 bedrooms, 4 full and 1 half bathrooms, 3,564 square feet on 0.41 acres, built in 1941, Upper Arlington schools

About the house: County sales records show the 1941 house sold in June 2023 for $1,425,000 to a company called Ten Two LLC. In August, three years and two months later, it sold again for $2.3 million, $875,000 more. A gain that size in three years suggests a renovation and resale. The county’s photo predates the 2023 sale, so the stone turret and slate roof in it were already there.

7593 Fenway Rd, New Albany: $2,222,000

Sale price: $2,222,000 (August 17, 2026)

Details: 5 bedrooms, 5 full and 2 half bathrooms, 4,772 square feet on 0.78 acres, built in 1992, New Albany-Plain schools

About the house: It’s a 1992 brick colonial on a lot just over three-quarters of an acre, and in the county’s photo it has black shutters and a three-car garage. The county counts seven bathrooms for its five bedrooms.

326 N Columbia Ave, Bexley: $2,185,000

Sale price: $2,185,000 (August 6, 2026)

Details: 5 bedrooms, 4 full and 2 half bathrooms, 4,925 square feet on 0.65 acres, built in 1926, Bexley schools

About the house: 326 N Columbia Ave changed hands in April 2025 for $2.1 million, per county sales records, and on August 6th it sold again for $2,185,000. That’s two sales of the same 1926 house in 16 months, the second one $85,000 higher, and an LLC acting as trustee is the new owner of record. Nothing in the county record says why it came back on the market so soon.

Just missed the list: 4386 Tarrytown Ct in New Albany, a 1994 house with seven bedrooms that sold to an LLC for $2.1 million on August 25th, and 2505 Slate Run Rd in Upper Arlington, a 1974 house that sold for an even $2 million on August 7th.
