Pecan Penny’s Is Totally Awesome, Just Don’t Park In The Parking Lot

Another day, another new restaurant to try in Columbus.

Since there’s no such thing as “too much barbecue”, I have no problem admitting I was pretty excited to check out Pecan Penny’s.

The restaurant is the latest soon-to-be-success from the business owners behind Olde Towne Tavern and The Walrus, Olde Towne Partners restaurant group.

Pecan Penny’s is the perfect blend of traditional and modern. The menu is classic BBQ all the way, with smoked wings, pulled pork, chicken, baby back ribs, and beef brisket. Sides can be added to any entree and include collard greens, cole slaw, cucumber salad, skillet cornbread, baked beans, Mac & cheese, and hush puppies.

Of course, you’ll want to finish your meal with a slice of the restaurant’s signature Pecan pie… or maybe a cold beer from the bar!

The restaurant is located at 113 E Main Street, open Tuesday-Thursday from 11 a.m. to 12 a.m., Friday-Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 12 a.m. They are closed on Monday.

Before you rush off to eat up some well-deserved barbecue, let me leave some parting wisdom. The parking lot around Pecan Penny’s is not for restaurant use. If you somehow miss the multitude of signs, you absolutely will be towed.

Alright, now get out of here! You’ve got some bbq to order!
