We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
At least that’s what we wish we were doing. We’re actually pleased to inform you that you can have quite the Harry Potter experience right here in Ohio. This summer, on July 28, 2018, muggles around Ohio are invited to attend the Wizardly World of Kent.
Acorn Alley is transformed into something special, a transformation that has people coming to the college-town from all over the Midwest. Take a stroll through Diagon Alley, grab a butterbeer, or just hang out with friends.
You will have no problem keeping occupied with all of the things to do at the Wizardly World of Kent. From The Race That Shall Not Be Named, a 5 ¾ K Fun Run that encourages participants to dress in character, to a 21+ potion class, the Wizardly World of Kent will make the wonder of witchcraft and wizardry come to life. Other festival activities include costume contests, potion classes for all ages, Potter-themed vendors, photo booths and much more.
Several shops around Acorn Alley will transform into their magical counterparts for the festival. In previous years, Tree City Coffee was the Three Broomsticks, The Venice Cafe became the Leaky Cauldron, and Popped served as both Florean Fortescue’s Ice Cream Parlor and Honeydukes.
The festival is completely magical and here 16 reasons why you need to head to Kent at the end of July.
You never know what sort of Magical beasts you might encounter.
You can fight the crowds at Diagon Alley. Watch where you walk, you never know who may be wearing their invisibility cloak!
Wand’s up if you’d like to go for a ride on the Knight Bus.
You can grab some new swag while you’re walking around.
Unlike the real Diagon Alley, you can’t take a wrong turn here. No ending up in Knockturn Alley for you!
Some of your favorite friends of Harry Potter will likely be in attendance…
And of course, some of his enemies.
So feel free to dress up and have a good time…
Because there is even a costume contest at the fest!
It wouldn’t be Harry Potter without Chocolate Frogs. And even though we’re fans of magic, we’re glad these ones can’t hop away.
Commemerate the occasion with some paintings. Perhaps if you try hard enough, they’ll come to life!
Or maybe you’d like to get sorted once and for all. It’s okay to be jealous, we can’t all be Hufflepuffs.
Grab a beer with a friend…
Or better yet, a Butterbeer!
Pose for a few quick wanted posters.
But mostly, go to the Wizardly World of Kent to have a magical time with your friends!
