As you drive up to the grand entrance, there is plenty of free parking as well as views of the lake to get you excited.

Entering the resort, the comfortable lobby has several sitting areas, a fireplace, computers for use, and a gift shop. There is also a full-service restaurant that offers a breakfast buffet, dinner, and a bar.

Lodge rates can range in the $100s and up for a room depending on the bedroom category and time of year. They also offer room packages that may include such perks as complimentary breakfast or a AAA discount.

I stayed in a Deluxe Category room which included two double beds and a sofa. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a table and chairs, a sitting area, and a desk. My window had a view of the lake, and the hotel toiletries offered were from the brand Bath and Body Works.

There was a coffee maker and mini-refrigerator in the room and depending on availability, microwaves, cribs, and rollaway beds are available upon request. Do note that there is a no pet policy for all guests.

Besides the spacious rooms, the lodge offers many amenities and activities for guests of all ages.

Do you enjoy a glass of wine? This AAA three-diamond resort bills itself as “Ohio’s Wine Country Resort,” and is located just minutes from over 20 wineries. The resort offers a wine shuttle that departs from the Lodge entrance, as well as a tour featuring the Lodge’s Certified Wine Specialist.

Do you enjoy outdoor adventures? Located on the property is Lake Erie Canopy Tours, which offers ziplining and adventure courses.
